Maya joined the Oxeon team with deep experience in client advisory and extensive knowledge of the various facets of the healthcare ecosystem. She started out her career at The Advisory Board, where she worked with hospital and medical device clients to hone their strategies around cardiology and post-acute care. She then transitioned to a boutique consulting firm, where she focused on change management and strategic projects with large-scale insurers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Centene, and Elevance. Most recently, Maya was an investment banker in Lazard’s healthcare group, where she advised both public and private clients on $30B+ in transactions. Notable deals included Office Ally’s sale to Francisco Partners, Johnson and Johnson’s spinoff of Kenvue, and Aerie Pharmaceuticals sale to Alcon. Other clients included Alignment Healthcare, Cigna, United, Vertex, and Stryker. At Oxeon, Maya works across the healthcare continuum with a focus on partnering closely with investor clients to staff their portfolio companies.
Maya graduated from Tufts University, where she majored in International Relations with a concentration in Economics with a minor in Communications and Media Studies. She received her MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where she concentrated in Corporate Finance and Healthcare. A native of Portland, Oregon, Maya enjoys exploring new workout classes and restaurants in New York City.
