In 2019, Humana & Flare Capital incubated what became Cohere Health – a health plan-facing utilization management technology company. Since its inception, Oxeon has been a trusted partner empowering Cohere’s path forward from founding through Series B with over $100M raised and 15M health plan members served in early 2024.At the earliest stage of company building – when Cohere was still a concept and not yet a business – Oxeon was hired to source the most critical ingredient: a founding CEO and team. They needed leaders who could navigate the complex landscape of health plan technology and fuel them forward by bringing the company to life and shaping its trajectory.Oxeon first placed Siva Namasivayam as CEO. His extensive background in healthcare analytics and SaaS solutions made him a perfect fit. Oxeon was then entrusted to continue filling in the leadership team to complement Siva. Next, we placed Gina Kim as Cohere’s founding Chief Product Officer. Gina was well versed in healthcare product design and management from her time at Verily and Kyruus, and she spent the next 3 years steering Cohere to product-market-fit.Once the company and product had its footing, Cohere’s focus shifted to growing their customer base, providing excellent support for the current clients, and evolving their product to expand services. Siva called on Oxeon to help fill in more of the company’s key leadership team – both within and beyond the C-suite. Oxeon pulled in Matt Parker as SVP of Product, who had previous experience at Kyruus and DestinationRx, to drive product expansion for health plan solutions and Elif Eracar to lead client success as Chief of Client Experience, leveraging her background in customer experience and operational leadership from her roles at Redox and American Well.In their first five years, Oxeon placed 8 leaders at Cohere, 4 of whom were C-suite placements.Siva shared, “We keep turning to Oxeon, because, frankly, they are just really good at what they do.
